Montana

Headed off to Montana early Thursday (7-2) morning, (longest car ever)! jk

My parents, brother, and I traveled to Montana/Wyoming when I was 13 and from what I remember, was not as long. Except for the fact I had to sit in the back with my brother...who poked me whenever I fell asleep.

We stopped a million times for gas, and finally got there at 7 pm.

Ate spaghetti and meatballs, hung out with billions of mosquitoes, and went to sleep.

The next day, Nathan, Kevin, Jake, and I went to Dillion to get some fireworks.

For being a state where it's legal to have huge flying fireworks, they didn't have many cakes, just breaks which were still cool.

I got this one called Pink Diamonds, which said it shot up 50 feet, but it turned out to be a fountain... BOOOO

But they were still really fun.

We went out to Virginia City too, which was a neat old town and they had lots of wooden signs with funny sayings on them. and went on a tour of the town.

It was a really relaxing and fun family reunion in Twin Bridges.

Nathan got to shoot lots of guns, we rode 110cc's (motorcycles) which were fun, until I was falling over. haha.

I wish I took more pictures but I didn't.

Me and Nathan will for sure be going back during hunting season to shoot us up some deers and all sorts of the other red meat.

Oh wait. This vacation doesn't end there...
After the fireworks, Hoa and Thuy + kids, were gonna leave because they were worried about their motor home breaking down. Me and Nathan went with to help drive and ya know, just in case something were to happen.
I stayed up till around 3 am with Hoa to keep him awake then I fell asleep, Nathan doesnt sleep in cars, especially if someone else is driving so he laid on a bed until I fell asleep.
Nathan woke me to up because we had stopped to 'use the restroom'.
I looked our the door and we were in front of a HOUSE!
I said, we can't pee here, people live there!
To which Hoa says, OH don't worry it's an abandoned town.
And Nathan tried to tell me it was a Rec Center...yeah right.

Great. talk about creepy.
Very reminiscent of the Hills Have Eyes (don't EVER see that movie. you will have nightmares or radiated, nuclear bomb, incestual people).
There were old cars and boarded up houses, in the dark!
(p.s. I'm really afraid of the dark...so it might not sound very scary to others).

On the road we went, and around 7 am, everyone was waking up.
Nathan was driving and Leann, Dillion, and I were watching a movie in the back.
And the front and back windows are covered in smoke, and we hear huge chunks of something falling on the road.
Nathan pulled over and we were stuck.
Good thing we were at least in Oregon.
Called AAA, and waited for the tow truck and another semi with a truck on the back.
The Phams took the truck and followed the semi to Hermiston to stay until Nic was passing through and picked them up.
Me and Nathan got to go with the tow truck guy in his semi to drop the motor home off at a repair shop in Pendleton.

Interesting ride. Never been inside a semi-truck.
The driver had his 2 year old son with him, who knew every kind of truck there is.
Finally got to Pendelton, where it was 100+ degrees outside.
We hadn't ate yet or really drank anything. I had some water left, we rationed...ha

We decided we wouldn't actually die if we walked up too a hamburger place and ate some food.
It was next to a gas station, with A/C so we got some drinks in there and walked back to the motor home.
We passed a river and wanted so badly to just jump in, but we didn't.
We opened the door and windows and fell asleep for a little bit but it was so hot, it didn't last long.
We walked back up to the gas station, got gatorades, and sat there for an hour looking at magazines and auto traders.
*By the way, we totally looked like we should have been missing 5 teeth and that we just crawled out from our cave*
Walked back down and FINALLY, after being stranded for 5+ hours, salvation came. haha
Kevin, Rich, and Paula came and we shuttled everything in the motor home to the trailer on the truck, hopped in, and headed for home.
We thought we were gonna be stuck again when going over hood river, and we had 1 mile left to go before we ran out of gas, when luckily there was a station with about .25 miles left.

Left at 11 PM Saturday and got home 1030 PM Sunday.
Uh, I think next time I might fly. Or drive a car with nothing attatched to it.

25 Things

Your supposed to write 25 things that many people probably don't know about you.

So HA read mine, and then DO IT yourself. Because I tag everybody :)
It's all the rage on facebook lately...

1. When I was younger I hated the color yellow because mustard is yellow, and I HATED mustard. (But I now like it).

2. I am afraid of the dark, and sleeping by myself. I leave the TV on for a night light and the noise.

3. All my grandparents are deceased. I never met my paternal grandfathers, and was there when my maternal grandfather died. It was weird and I don't ever want to see that again.

4. I had to renew my permit TWICE. Talk about embarrassing

5. I own well over 50 pairs of shoes

6. Is my FAVORITE number. WHY? I was born June (6)/6...I weight 6 lbs 6 oz...I have 6 members in my immediate family

7. I always wished I was a little Japanese girl living in America. Because I LOVE and am obsessed with Hello Kitty ever since I was young, I want to adopt from Japan, and Japan is just all around THAT cool.

8. I want a tattoo on the inside of my foot and already know what I want but I don't think that I will ever get it

9. I pull out my eyebrows when I am bored.

10. I pass out. I've done it at school, church, dairy queen, and in my dorm room all alone. It's scary. The doctors say there is nothing wrong except for my lack of eating, but I think there is something more. After the first time I did it, my mom made me eat 6 pieces of toast every morning for a week. Have I mentioned that I hate toast?!

11. I have saved just about every greeting card (birthday, x-mas, etc) I have ever gotten since I was little. For what? I don't know but I thought the person who gave it to me would know and then they would be sad, and I would feel bad.

12. I have never broken a bone in my entire life. Nor seen a doctor in 5 years. The closest I ever got to it was spraining my ankle sophomore year from running across a hidden hole in the grass in lacrosse practice and continued to run for 2 weeks

13. I am afraid of water. Not like drinking water or taking showers but I am afraid of deep water like lakes, pools, oceans, river, huge bathtubs, streams, etc.

14. Along with that, I hate being wet. Having wet clothes after the beach or rainshower. I hate showering because I feel like I never get dry and I hate having wet hair and the wet, sticky feeling. But I shower everyday (don't worry).

15. I LOVE cleaning. I think it is fun, and sort of peaceful/calming in a way

16. I started working at Dairy Queen when I was 15. I am still employed there. And currently have 3 different part-time jobs. ( I wish we lived in simpler times)

17. I wish I was born in the 60's. Or at least could go back to that time and spend a few days there and into the 70's.

18. I walked home from school ever since 2nd grade. My brother was supposed to walk with me, but being the younger uncool sister, I had to walk at least 3 sidewalk squares behind him and his friends.

19. Because of that and I would be followed home by cars that parked outside my house watching until my mom got home, my best friend Bryan Meyers walked me home and I think he is now in jail. What a sweet kid.

20. I don't judge. You don't live the other persons life, and you don't know what it's like to be them, so really you can't tell someone how to live, you can't judge them for the things they do, because you don't know what it is like to be in their shoes. I also don't assume. Unless someone has actually told you themselves, you don't know how someone feels/what they think/etc. because of their background/beliefs/family/whatever.

21. I am not ashamed to pee...anywhere. I have peed in the woods, parking lots, garbage cans, bottles, my pants haha um yeah desperate times call for desperate measures

22. I have tonsillophs. (taah-n-saw-low-phh-s). Nathan is completely and utterly disgusted whenever I even start to mention the name or when I grab it out of my mouth. They are pretty nasty but pretty freaking awesome if you ask me. Well the mystery part of them, not the smell or the part where I basically have to hack them up or they irritate my tonsils/throat. I am pretty researched in this area if you would like to know more.

23. I loved high school. I wish I could go back. I had the best friends a girl could ask for and I wish I still had them.

24. I like Diet soda. I don't drink it because it's "diet," I like the taste of it better. I love cranberry juice in any variety, and only western family apple juice. I don't like orange juice unless it has other flavors in it. I like coffee but I couldn't drink it everyday and can only drink it if i eat something too. My mom made us kids drink a cup of milk every dinner. I HATE milk, I either had to plug my nose and gulp it down or my dad would pour some of his coffee into my cup so I would drink it, and my mom never knew.

25. I am the luckiest girl to find someone like Nathan who loves me for me and doesn't care how gross I am or how emotional I can be. Although we both wish we had found each other later then we did in life, I am blessed to know that I have someone like him Always and Forever! (and he fixes my car and washes it too! What a keeper) :)

Ringside

IT IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!
and really expensive...

Me and Nathan had actually been here once upon a time ago. On a breezy summer evening, I had just moved back home from California, and we wanted to spend a nice evening out in Nathan's new car...It's a long story and I MIGHT tell you later, but I'll just say we didn't eat here. We were just...here.

My dad's favorite thing here is their Onion Rings. And they were probably the best rings I have ever had. Crisp, not greasy. It's like they cooked them in heaven's oil.
Then we had salad (which Nathan is STILL talking about), cuz you know at those expensive places everything comes seperate.
Then we had our steaks:

They were't teeny little steaks with a carrot and a sprig of something that's only there for decoration, it was a hunkin' piece of cow with a huge side ( I had rice, Nathan chose the garlic mashed potatos), on a sizzling hot plate. We got stuffed but still ordered dessert.

And I am glad I did. The Chocolate Silk Pie is to die for! The crust is crushed almods in a carmelized glaze that crunches. The chocolates are so smooth and rich, but not too rich. It was perfect. (and came with strawberies :))

There are about 50+ awards that hang on their wall, and you have to make a reservation, and probably save up for a month before going, but it was DEFINATELY worth the work that only Nathan put into us going! (thanks for having a birthday and cutting down wood, we (okay you), deserved it)!

I give the Ringside a big two thumbs up and 15 gold stars.

(except the 12 year old that was working, and had too big of a sports jacket to even be legal).

Brother's Wedding

My Half-Brother got married in Albany, August 9th, so here are about a million and one pictures :)

Basically the first on the dance floor and the last to leave. Hide your children when the Waverly's come to town. My other cousins, Robyn and Kristin weren't there, they live the furthest away, so it would have been hard for both of them to get here. 

Michael and Emily had a money dance, where you have to pay to dance with them, so me and the sisters all slapped some ones in Michael's pockets and danced like it's probably illegal to do so. Fun Times. 

Last few, This is us at the Reception Dinner where my dad made the best speech I personally have ever heard. Threw in a bit about being glad that were not in China because of the smog they have... Blame it on the Boo's

My dad told Mckenzie, Matt's oldest daughter, to jump in the hotel with her dress on, so she did and my dad gave her money. OH how I love family gatherings. My dad likes to hand out the dough when he's put a few down. Glad I got some of the handouts. Feed me lunches for two weeks.

Update

Finally got my pics on here. So here is an update:

The latest of Chloe--Nate had CiCi so he brought her over to mi casa, and we played.

 

Then, about 2 weeks ago, I was driving on the road, going through a green light, when this CRAZY (yes, I swear she was freakin psycho) ran her light, trying to run in front of me, and hit me. She jumped out of her car and started pointing and screaming at me like it was my fault! I sat in my car, I don't even remember, i was in shock. The lady behind Bippidy (something like that) was my witness and thank goodness for her, she was so nice. The policeman too, I made him stay with me until Nathan got there because that lady kept saying it was my fault after she got a ticket for not yielding and not having her insurance card. That's a pricey one. So all in all, I got a almost super sick rental car (a mazda 3, would have been ultimate if it was the 2.3 and wasn't manual everything)

My Brother also graduated from CLU (where I went my freshman year) and it was weird to be back. At least one person was nice to me. haha whatever I really don't care. I am glad I never have to go back there :) But he lives down there now, trying to get a job with Medical doings. Finding a dental school to go to and lots of fun stuff.
