Doggie Boots

Hmmm
I don't EVER use my camera. I don't even think I know where it is right now. Therefore I have no pictures for you.

Nathan has officially started a business, registered and everything. Where we go from here, I'm not really sure. We got super pumped for about a week and that has now sizzled. After we found out that Quickbooks would cost us HOW MUCH?! and the apple people said it sucked we got burnt out and haven't really talked since. About the biz.

I have been working. Huh, what's new?! I got pretty sick for a little bit and my throat and neck hurt like a mother loader and my voice was becoming groggy and gross. So I went to the Urgent Care and the Dr. came in and said, "so your tonsils are bothering you... OMG LOOK AT YOUR NECK!" I got all confused because all I wanted was for her to tell me that I needed my tonsils out and then she freaked out about my neck which doesn't look ANY different to me. Apparently my right side is freakishly enlarged (where my thyroid is). So I asked what I should do and she told me to go find a family dr. that they wouldn't take any tests  there. UM... I thought this was a medical center.... at least she diagnosed me with tonsilitis.

So I called Paula and she told me of a family dr. she heard of and I went to them. And the lady freaked out there about my neck too. I made Nathan go with me for this one and she asked him, "Does she always look like this?" um thanks people I know I'm not vain but I really don't see what they're talking about. I have an ultrasound today so we will see where it takes us.

I bought Paisley an ID tag about a week and a half ago, best $12.00 I ever spent. I got a call yesterday morning, "Do you have a black dog and a little brown dog?" why, yes in fact I do...
"Well, I have them on Scholls Ferry a little past that big mansion place. I can drive them over to you." WHAT?! I jumped up and made Nathan get up and we started driving to meet her in the driveway but Tucker was already there and brought them up for us. Paisley and Kelso were a little grounded for about 5 minutes. That is so far for those dogs! I couldn't believe it. But I am so glad I finally bought her a tag and am never hesitating on that again.

So I leave you with this youtube video. You can watch the suggested ones they are HILARIOUS. We watched a bunch last night but this ones pretty good.

Rainy May

Our house has turned into a nursery. Nathan got a rockin' deal on plants last week. If you're looking for plants or landscape, he's your man!

We also have a big concrete landing out back. If we didn't need to extend our house, I would love to put some patio furniture and have outside BBQ's, since its deciding to be all sunny and warm this week.

Speaking of sunny and warm, I wrote that too soon as its supposed to be raining this whole next week!!!
We got netflix and have been watching A LOT of Swamp People, about two episodes a night. I LOVE this show. I watched a documentary on alligators too. I remember seeing an alligator on the grass at our hotel in Florida, on this trip

OH netflix. You will make me become a hermit... But since its NOT sunny yet, I will allow it :)

My new license plates came!

I am going on day 7(!) of NOT cracking my knuckles/fingers. So far so good, unless I'm stretching and it accidentally happens. It's hard! I keep thinking about it all day, especially when I finally sit down and try to relax, thats all I can think about.
Garth gave me a gift cert. to get a pedicure for Christmas and since it was nice out today I went and got it! I LOVE the color, I kept saying I didn't want any flowers/design but she did it anyway so I went with it.

Here are a few things I am loving right now...
Neuro drinks.

I bought this at Petrich's, they don't say what flavor they are but they all taste the same, kinda like grapefruit. The only difference is that some are more fizzy than others. It's supposed to make you happy, or better blood flow, or sleepy, depending on which one you get, I have yet to notice any effects but they are yumm-o!

Some of my favorite food blogs. I love reading these and getting ideas for making dinner. There are only so many ways to spin a chicken!
Pioneer Woman

My friend Katie is having a scentsy party online, I have never used or smelt any flavors so I'm not sure if I want to do it or which flavors smell good/bad. Let me know if you've tried them or any favorite scents you have. I love candles and smelly things I just don't want to waste money of ones that don't smell good!!

Almost Forgot!

I forgot to include the pics of my car, Nate's motorcycle, and other random things, I got a little excited.

Nate's motorcycle. He took it for a spin around the roads out here but he's gotta get his endorsement and insurance before he can really take it out.

Nate took Bryan Whitnah on a ride, then a ride in his truck, and then on the quad and taught him how to ride it. I think that may have been the best day in his life so far. :)

Have I ever said how much Paisley LOVES Weston?! She will lick his face for days and he loves it. Tucker and Weston were up with Nathan talking one day and they went to walk back down to their house. Apparently Paisley wasn't finished yet and scooted down to their house to find Weston. She's a funny dog, and what a cute kid!

And this is my car.
Ok, until next month..haha

March and April, Into May

*Paisley*

Has been quite the farm dog. She wakes up every morning at around 715, unless she sleeps with us, which happens probably more often than it should :) She spends about 12 hours running around outside and when she comes inside, she goes straight to our room and passes out for the night on the bed until we scoot her off to her own bed. Today she rolled in something stinky so I scrubbed her down three times and she is still a little stinky. She stopped eating her food for a few weeks so she is now an organic puppy and eats really expensive food, but she loves it, so at least she's eating! She keeps telling me she wants a little bro/sis so we're thinking about getting another dog. Hopefully this next month we can make her dreams come true ;) OH and I almost forgot, SHE TURNED ONE! Her birthday was April 2nd, and we forgot, but I bought her lots and lots of toys!

*Nathan*

Working on the beautiful lawns and landscaping of the farm house. He put his truck on craigslist to see how much he could get out of it and apparently it was a lot! I didn't know why he wanted to sell it, but he did. He bought a good work truck from Hector, whose working with him, and fixing it up as we type.
He is taking math and a job search class, once he finishes those, he will take one more math and another specialty class and be ALL DONE! He bought Chuong's motorcycle, Honda Shadow, and has been drooling over it, waiting to drive it. He is taking the class to get his endorsement with Chris H and Billy. Then we need to work on getting out concealed weapons and we will a couple of shootin', ridin' crazy peoples.

*Caitlin*

I guess nothing too exciting goes on with me; I am just working. We sold the Passat :( sad day. Nathan was worrying over it and I figured it would break sometime and when it did, we wouldn't have money for it. SO we sold it.
I was very sad, so sad that I broke the door as the people were coming to buy it. I was looking behind me as I was backing out of the garage and thought "hmmm, our house is falling down! How weird." Then I realized it was ME who was crashing into the house!!! I pulled it back in, tried to shut the door and it came right back at me, then I scooted to see what Nathan's face looked like but he was still moving his truck so I couldn't see and I just thought, HE'S GONNA KILL ME!! Luckily he didn't and the people still bought it! OOPS. After about 2 weeks without a car, I was getting tired of looking at the same ones on craigslist, I told Nathan we were going to buy this one and I didn't care what was wrong with it. It was cheap too and turns out, a pretty decent car. Good thing since we bought it at about 11:00 at night. I was done looking at craigslist, I don't know HOW Nathan looks at it everyday.

Driving to Utah

Us in the CABELAS in UT

Paisley pooping Easter eggs!

That is all that happened in the last months, we eat, sleep, and poop just like everyone else, but we watch cool videos, so here's one I stumbled upon, I like the otter or whatever it is. You should watch them all, because some parts are dumb, but most are really funny.

End of Year

Here is our Christmas/New Year/December post.

Paisley really enjoyed her first Christmas this year. She got lots of new toys that were 50% off when i bought them on Christmas Eve! WOoHOo. I wrapped them and made her open one, to which she kept looking at me like 'why am I not getting in trouble here?'

Our first Christmas together and trying to fit in both families in one day was kinda chaotic and we lost track of time, but we made it and had a pretty exciting Christmas with awesome presents!

2010 brought lots of NEW things, new cars, animals, marriage, jobs, etc. and hopefully we can keep those all things in 2011 and keep getting more new things!

-----------------------------------------------

So far in this New Year...

We meet Nathan's dislocated shoulder once again. He was snowboarding and will probably get surgery during Spring Break. He just started his new classes and has class on Friday night! How weird.

Paisley is bulking up and just being one cute pup. She's getting into trouble with the neighbors dog down the hill so we have to keep her inside unless we can be outside with her and watching. What a high-maintenance dog! But we still love her :)

I keep working and cleaning and being Nurse/Dog Whisperer Caitlin.
I've been trying lots of new recipes, some of which are not so great but we have to eat them anyway so those are always fun nights :)
I have put away all of the decorations and am getting ready for Valentines, our house may look like pink and red threw up all over it.

Here's a video from Christmas, hopefully they work and you can enjoy!

The last few months

Wow. The last two months flew by and I can't believe is OCTOBER!!
Our fav. month of the year.

Nathan has been working his butt off on the farm making it look beautiful and already has  people asking about the farm house for weddings! A friend from high school's brother was interested and is already set on getting hitched up there in August! Very exciting.
Paisley obvi helps out also as our little billy goat. She eats anything and everything and loves to climb atop the equipment to lay out on.

Last month while putting up all the stone outside, he stepped on a nail and it went right thru his romeo's! After a few days of thinking it was fine, we ended up in the ER Friday night/Saturday morning with an infection.
(You can barely see it, but the red dot is where the nail came out...)

We sold my car a week or so ago and were looking all around for cars, without the internet it's been hard to craigslist...especially if your Nathan, (I think he was starting to go through withdrawals). But alas, we found a good one and bought it :)
Old car and NEW car!

The last week of September Nathan went on a hunting trip with Garth and his buddies.
They came back with a couple of trailer accessories.

Graduates

Portland Community College: Dental Assisting Program
June 8th 2010

This is just the BLUE group (with a few girls missing).

There were 3 groups total; Blue, Yellow, and Red.
31 Girls and 1 Boy, (and 4 babies)!
We started out as 50 (2 boys) and each term you either made it or didn't.
I think the most stressful times of my life happened during this program, which was only 9 months long!
But those 9 months seemed like years with all the knowledge they had to throw at us to memorize.

Timea, Me, Rachel, and Aimee (one of the girls who had a baby during the year)

Here I am on stage, being nervous... haha

Just some members of my fan club :)

Nathan had a final that night but raced over from Rock Creek (to Sylvania) and made it for the 2nd half of the program!

Sitting in one of the patient chairs

Thanks to Tucker and my mom for taking these pics!

What's Up With US?!

I figured I should post something...So here is where I will sum up the last.... month or so.
And there aren't really any pics because no camera=no pictures. Sorry!

My birthday was on June 6th...I turned 22, yay?!
I got my haircut. It was free. Then I got it re-cut to make it look normal (thanks Tara)!

June 8th I had a dental assisting ceremony and Nathan had a Construction BBQ on June 3rd.
We didn't attend the actual PCC ceremony because...well...It's PCC.

On June 10th we became proud parents of a puppy!
 This is Paisley.
(taken on photobooth, so it's not really that great)

She is 3/4 Rottweiler and 1/4 Doberman.
She's having fun meeting other dogs, kids, and people.
We don't love that she has chewed up both computer chargers, a rug, pillows, the couch cover, blankets, Nathan's underwear, sandals, socks, and everything under the bed. (The list goes on).
But she's awesomely cute and loves to climb the stairs, jump through the opening, and bounce on the couch and onto you. It will be sad when she has gotten too big and can't do it anymore.
She used to not wake up too early, usually 7 or 8 am.
This week it's been 4 am...NOT very happy.
She has barked a total of 6 or 7 times. She never makes noises!

June 19th was Portland's Naked Bike Ride.
Really no pictures, but just know we participated :)
And Nathan ran into a friend from high school...that was a awkward meeting place. haha

Family Reunions started June 21 and thru the 26th. We took Pailsey on her first camping trip and she did pretty well. Although she didn't like being tied up and she chewed through her leash...
She also broke the part that makes it stop when you push the button...
We keep reminding ourselves that she's the cutest everyday :)

Now Nathan is working on the farm with Garth, making everything look nice and beautiful.
He is also is taking two summer online classes to get his associates by end of fall.
I am chasing after Paisley and looking for jobs. I am trying to cook (yikes), keeping the house clean, exercising, and working on gettin' my body tan. (if the sun ever decides to stay out long enough)!

Maybe soon I can post pictures. Nathan has some on his camera, but there's no cord to connect camera to computer... minor details.

Congrats to Katie!

My friend Katie from school found out she was pregnant the 3rd week of school so I've felt like I've been going through this with her, keeping her on track with school, sitting in the back of the class talking baby, feeling kicks, shopping, updates on her emergency hospital visits, how to tell her grandparents, etc. She had a rough pregnancy this time compared to her first so I'm glad I was there and really proud of her for going through THAT and our school program!

She finally had her baby on Wednesday morning, May 19th, at 4:00 am.
She went in with more stomach pains, which she was having a lot of throughout the whole term, and the baby's heart rate repeatedly kept dropping and scares of delivering happened through the whole term. This time it was for real but the nurses at the hospital closer to her house wanted to send her home still.

She went to the bathroom before she left, said she felt something weird, told the nurses who didn't believe her, and 5 minutes later on the side of an exam room table, Ashlynn Edith Lorraine was born!
I went up and saw them that night.
She was born 3 weeks early and is a little bruised from coming out so fast, but she's still the cutest baby I've ever seen!

*and these were taken on my phone, which is totally new and works good so that's why they're blurry :)

Inspiration for Your Own Ears

**Must Listen to Song Playing**

One day.
One day we will all be at peace.
Up above.

With our families.
Safe.
From any harm that we have felt here on this Earth.

There is no hate.
no judgements.

Be strong.
Stay strong.
You will persevere through the wars of the world
and the wars in ourselves.

We are all equal.

It's not about power - it's about grace.
It's not about knowing your enemy - it's about knowing yourself."

Best News I've Heard All Day

Now I have to figure out where all this money is coming from.
But the good news along with it: I get on my mom's insurance so I can get my wisdom teeth out!
(OUCH they hurt real bad)!

Sorry Chelle, I think I will still have the hook up at DQ, and I don't know toothbrushes ARE kind of expensive these days...along with those other cool instruments they use like the super sharp gum bleeder stick.

Identity/Age Crisis

As I get older (because 21 is soooo old, right)?!
I'm kidding
Anytime I go somewhere that I have to show ID, like signing up for a CPR class or getting pulled over, or places like work, the streets, the mall....
About 4 out of 5 times I get the crooked eye, raised eyebrow, 'yeah right I don't believe you at all' LOOK.

(Old Picture, from My dorm in CA)

People have come to the apartments, and asked if the apartment manager is there.
Um, I am the ONLY person in that office, sitting behind the desk.
Did you expect someone to come out from the closet, or from a file cabinet?

I went to sign up for a CPR class at THPRD.
I went up the GIRL at the desk and said,
"Hi, I need to sign up for a class but I don't have a current membership."
"um, how old are you?"
Well this confused me and I often speak before I think and started saying 18. Because that's how old you have to be to get a card. Then I said oh wait, just kidding 20.
That probably made me look stupid. Oh well. I got it anyway.

I went to Victoria Secret to buy roos and a new bra, (TMI haha)?
Checking out, the YOUNG LADY who could only be like 17 herself. Asked,
"Are you 18?"
Well OVER.
"Oh really? Well okay did you want to sign up for an Angels card?"
NO. becuase I hate coming here. every employees voice sounds so fake and high-pitched it hurts my ears and ask what panties i like (do you really care because I don't want to share), and you questioned my age. NO THANK YOU.

I got pulled over a tthe end of January, and the policeman asked me if I ever got a ticket.
Yeah like 3.5 years ago. Then he gave me that LOOK and asked how old I was.
YOU HAVE MY LISCENSE! DO THE MATH.

The newer people at Dairy Queen wonder what high school I go to.
They suggest I can't be older than 16/17/18.
Ohhhhhh. But I can be.
One girl said, "Oh I used to work at the Aloha DQ"
My reply, "Oh I used to go there with my friends, I knew you kind of looked familiar"
Her reply, "Uh, I worked there like 3 years ago, you were prolly like 12."
ARE YOU KIDDING ME!

Do I really look that young?
I mean I guess it's cool for when I'm a lot older I might still look this young and beautiful...haha jk
but it's getting out of control.

I always thought I looked older too.
How sad.

Me, Not 12. Nor 17.
and I'm really missing my longer hair.... :(
