Do You See What I SEEEEEEE?

I see a resemblance...
(except for the fact ones a boy and ones a girl, but you get it right?! LOVE the short do's too).

Way Back When

I like this story. It's good memories.
It's who we are.
We are somehow reminded of it often.
Which is okay because we laugh about it.

I had just come home from being in California for the previous year. Me and Nathan had started dating about 5 months before then. We were still kind of awkward, especially not seeing his face for a year, and seeing how we both have changed.
I thought it might have been a good idea to go downtown for a nice dinner, because me and Nathan hardly EVER go out to eat at nice places. Newport Bay on the Waterfront seemed like a good idea, except neither of us have actually driven there. I printed out directions.

We still couldn't find it.
But I forgot an important detail. I didn't have a car. Natha
n had just bought a new one (no shocker). He was excited about it. A Toyota Supra. 1988. Leather. Badass... Apparently
It had a mind of its own.
It decided to start running like sh*t that night.
The transmission.
We started chuggin' up Burnside, and finally Nathan wanted to turn in somewhere to eat because he had not eaten and was getting mad. So was I.
We turned into the Ringside! The valet guy tried to get us out of the car to park it, and Nathan said, "No way man, that's embarassing cuz this car is not running right now. I just need to park it myself."
Back then, we didn't know you had to make something called a Reservation.
We parked, walked inside, and the lady was sorry that she couldn't seat us on on a Friday night. She said we could sit and wait until something opened, or use the restrooms, or just sit so we didn't have to stand in the cold. She was so nice.

We left.
We continued going up Burnside. We pulled into one of those long, steep driveways, ten-point turned it around and at that moment, I should have shut my mouth.

"I knew you shouldn't have bought this car."
The WORST thing I could have said.
I am so sorry.
I have since learned never to say anything like that until later.
I am doing a pretty good job of it too...uh kinda

But back then, it pissed Nathan off to no other, he punched the horn.
The horn liked it.
It didn't want to stop.
It tooted it's horn all the way back down Burnside.
We pulled into a parking lot, with stores, and everyone ran outside to stare.
At least we were dressed up and lookin' good...
A guy ran up and asked if we needed anything. He went to grab pliers.
No need for those young man, my boyfriend is strong and pissed off.
He threw open that hood and ripped out the thing that connects the horn.
I sat in the car crying.

The nice tow truck man came, shared a story or two, and left. We sat on the curb waiting.
Paula and Chelle came to pick us up.

We got home and went out to Red Robin. It was delicious.

Hey New Year, Come again.

Hung out with Jessica, Billy, and Brandon at the Embassy Suites Hotel. At 12:00 all the guests started throwing streamers, confetti, toilet paper, coasters, basically anything they had down the center (all the rooms are on the outside so it's like a big empty circle in the middle). Then this older middle-aged man started kissing people and me and Jess ran back to our rooms. Um no thanks, he wasn't very cute and was wearing a tuxedo...a little to fancy for the emabassy I think.

Nathan is wearing his new fav. shirt he brought home when he went to Mt. Bachelor with the boys. It's ridiculously bright.

Yup, it's 2009. wooooop de doooooo.
ha

Nathan has started his second term at PCC and thinks this this one is gonna be hard. All of his classes are at night; starting at 6 pm and the latest one ends at 10 pm. YEAH! Freakin' four hours of class, not to mention it's architectural drawing. DRAWING! FOR 4 HOURS! Not one of his favorites.
(He only wishes these hotties were in his classes. hahaha)
He also is enjoying being threatened by other students there that drive a purple car with purple rims. Other than that he is job hunting and has applied to a few places. He really wants one (okay, not really but he would like one) to keep him occupied during the day, besides doing homework. His friend Rem (Brandon) works at a place called Good Shepard where they take care of mentally disabled people, give meds out, drive them places, change their sheets/clothes/etc. They are hiring so him and Brandon (Kang) applied and I think they might get it! Which is cool, not really a hands on, skillful job but it will be interesting.

I am working. And working. I work during the morning at VP and then to keep myself occupied and the cash flow a-comin' I went back to Dairy Queen so that I could keep paying my bills and my loan and get myself back in school faster. That and really, what was I supposed to do at night with Nathan at school all the time!? Just Kidding, I don't get that many hours at DQ it's more like I am on call everyday. And Dairy Queen is the most glamorous job so why wouln't I want to be there?! kidding...
Otherwise I am at home to keep myself from shopping and so far, I say with time I think I will get better at it. But on that note, my pair of boots just came in the mail today and I'm SO EXCITED! I've been waiting to wear this dress I got to wear with them. ha

I am applying to PCC's dental assisting program and hopefully I will get in! It's a throw all the app's in a bucket and pull one out kind of choosing so hopefully they will pull mine. Otherwise I have to wait till Fall 2010 to try again. Not cool.

NEW!

New Post. HA and a New Season! Of The Real World of course!
I can remember watching MTV with my sisters as they watched the Real World and how the people on the show are uh...CRAZY?!
I have found very few seasons I actually like but this new season, which started yesterday, I am totally excited for.
(If you don't know what the Real World is, it's 7 (or 8) strangers live together in a house and have to survive...the real world.
Together and they live in a random place in a freakin' awesome house.)

This is the trailer for the new season. It's amazing! (they are in Brooklynn, NY)
Oh and Brett's girlfriend, Stefani, interviewed the auditioners and helped choose the ones on the show! I think Nathan is even kind of excited for it since I've been talking about it A LOT.

P.S. The guy wearing the purple scarf in one scene where they ask if he's gay (totally not), reminds me of Chris Hodges but more intense and probably doesnt ride dirt bikes. Agree??? I thought so. He's from Salt Lake City, UT, Actually Mormon, and very metro. He's my favorite, he is HILARIOUS.
