Just call me Martha!

I have been busy making decorations for our house for Christmas!
I made these two wreaths and finally persuaded Nathan into getting a tree :)

I mean, where else would all his presents go?!

We did have to trim it, and then realized we could have left the top part because there was gaping holes, so our tree may or may not be zip-tied in a few areas :)

Here it is, all lit up! Paisley doesn't even seem to notice it so hopefully she won't eat any lights or x-mas balls :)

Day 4

Day 4-Favorite Book

Mine: The Writer's Reference-Diana Hacker

This book really is the greatest book I have ever laid my eyes upon. I got it at the end of my freshman year of college in CA. My teacher made us buy this 30 dollar pocket book and even though it was expensive, it has the BEST paper writing rules and has all the MLA/APA references in it, so easy to look up. Has made my life a breeze trying to write reference pages and writing papers.

Otherwise, I don't read too often, but I LOVE the Berenstein Bear books, those are good ones.

Nathan says: Huck Finn or Boxcar Children Books

TV

Day 3-Favorite TV show

Really, I can't pick just one! But my favorite TV channel would have to be ABC, they have pretty much a show everyday I can watch: Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, Greys Anatomy, Modern Family, The Middle, and Private Practice.

If I had REAL tv, I would be watching The Real Housewives of...
hmm, Orange County, New Jersey, and Beverly Hills. Those are the only ones I really like. Can't wait till they come to Washington County!! (hahaha, yeah right, I can only dream :))
Oh yeah, I LOVE watching the Ellen Show! I laugh throughout the whole show, usually.

Nathan loves shows on History Channel, and those types, like Swamp People, Ice Truck Driving, Deadliest Roads, and oh, motocross things. He also LOVES Two and a Half Men, which I like too. We always try to make it a Monday thing to watch the new episodes but I think that worked once...

We like all the same shows, except he doesn't like most the ones I listed above. It's kind of a one sided relationship :)

Dos

Day 2-Your Favorite Movie
Apparently, not so good at this every day thing. Oh well, they are quick and I bet my intrenet peeps been itchin' to read them! (read: sarcasm)

Nathan is easy. ANYTHING with Marky-Mark (Mark Wahlberg). He loves him, especially  Four Brothers. His other favorite is 16 Blocks.

I have so many, it's hard to pick just one, but one I really like October Sky, I think we watched it in middle school every single year.
It really will live in your memory forever! Catchy tagline :)

Blog-a-day

I got this from Taylor so I figured, hey, why not!

Day 01 — Recent picture of you and 15 interesting facts about yourself

Here is a picture of us,very recent as in 2 seconds ago:

and I tried to think of really good interesting facts so I hope maybe you learned something you didn't know!

1. I HATE being wet. Different from being afraid of water, after showering I have to completely dry myself before I move anywhere. I hate the feeling of being wet/sticky/gross. Nathan will touch my arm or back when it's all wet when he thinks he's being funny :)
2. I basically crack my entire body. Knuckles/fingers, toes, neck, back, wrists, ankles, hip. I really try to not crack my knuckles but I just can't stop! I forget that I'm trying not too and it's all downhill from there.
3. I usually like all foods, but I hate scalloped potatoes. I don't care if they're homemade, which sometimes look good, or the au gratin ones in the box, YUCK. I just can't eat them!
4. I miss doing schoolwork. I love to write papers, especially research ones, so when Kevin or Nathan has a paper to proof, I get kinda geeky excited.
5. I have mad road rage. I usually yell at every car on the road because ya know, everyone thinks they're the best driver and everyone else is an idiot :)
6.I don't really have a favorite color. I guess I would claim pink or black, but I hate those two colors put together. I love teal and purple too but still, don't really like to see them together.
7.I LOVE popcorn! I think I just about eat it every day or every other day. It's so good!
8.I am a coupon queen :) and sale seeker. I save so much money on things that people behind me in the checkout line have commented... kinda embarrassing sometimes.
9. We do so much laundry! Sometimes I can't even believe how many clothes we go through, because sometimes we wear some pants/sweaters/etc. two or three times (don't worry they still smell good, haha), but every week we do like 7 full loads. It's amazing.
10. I love Christmas! I like to decorate and buy things for people, except I don't have the $ to actually make purchases, but I dream about it. The coldness outside, and the snow! I don't like actually being cold, but when it's snowing its so pretty outside!
11. I can't  do things repetitively. Like eat the same thing too often or usually any boring day job.
12. I try to rotate my clothes, i.e. socks/undies/tank tops/shirts/jeans. When they get washed they go in the back of the dresser and I have to wear the other ones before those again. The jeans go to the bottom of the stack, and shirts are hard cuz they're hanging but I try to remember when I last wore it.
13.I love baking, but I never do it because it's usually way too much. Nathan doesn't eat a lot of sweets and I don't eat that much of it. A whole cake or rice krispy treats usually gets thrown away cuz I really only eat one or two pieces.
14. If I think too much about the food I am eating, I can't eat it. I start to think about where it came from, or if i ate it one time and got a crunchy or a bone, I can't eat it anymore because it grosses me out. I can't eat eggs because they smell nasty and I think about the egg shells or when my friend made a cake when we were little and didn't mix it before baking it and I got a hard/chewy lump of egg in my piece. YUCK.
15. Today is my half-birthday. Today I am 22 1/2 years old. That is neat.

Halloween

So many parties, so little costumes.
We decided to have more fun than usual, haha, and bought costumes for all of the fun we were to have that weekend. And we are still recovering from all the lack of sleep.
Paisley also got in the spirit with a little jack-o-lantern toy I bought for her.

So we hope everyone had a FUN and magical Halloween(s) and all of these people send their love,

The classic plug and outlet (blurry cell phone pic)

and last but not least,

Your token Mexican and Fairy.

The last few months

Wow. The last two months flew by and I can't believe is OCTOBER!!
Our fav. month of the year.

Nathan has been working his butt off on the farm making it look beautiful and already has  people asking about the farm house for weddings! A friend from high school's brother was interested and is already set on getting hitched up there in August! Very exciting.
Paisley obvi helps out also as our little billy goat. She eats anything and everything and loves to climb atop the equipment to lay out on.

Last month while putting up all the stone outside, he stepped on a nail and it went right thru his romeo's! After a few days of thinking it was fine, we ended up in the ER Friday night/Saturday morning with an infection.
(You can barely see it, but the red dot is where the nail came out...)

We sold my car a week or so ago and were looking all around for cars, without the internet it's been hard to craigslist...especially if your Nathan, (I think he was starting to go through withdrawals). But alas, we found a good one and bought it :)
Old car and NEW car!

The last week of September Nathan went on a hunting trip with Garth and his buddies.
They came back with a couple of trailer accessories.

Floaters

Pre-Note: This is what happens when you don't have internet and/or computer cords, you get posts from Summer in October...at least it's actually feeling like Summer in October :)

We bought rafts at Bi-Mart in Bend so we could float the Sunriver river while there and we didn't know they would come with such cool hats!!!
(they're really the cushions for the back person to sit on)
It was a long, cold float and we were starving by the end!
That trip was just Nathan, me, Billy, and Colby

And Paisley too :)

Then on a super hot day we wanted to float the Clackamas River, which was quite a trip to get too but really fun once we got on the water!
This time it was Nathan, me, Chris H, Matt, Kevin R, Nate, and Aaron-we had a big crowd and there were TONS of people out that day.

Puppy Play Dates

During fair we took Paisley to Doggy Day Camp while we were busy working all day, and I'm not really sure if she liked it (because she can speak to us, duh...just kidding), but we thought it was good for her to get used to other dogs.
My parents have their dog, Chloe, who we have taken Paisley to play with but I think that Chloe doesn't want to be BFF's anytime soon.

Robbie's dog Molly, whom we had owned for a whole 24 hours, long story, also comes over and this last time I think they actually got along, no barking at all.

Dirty

A Dirty Boy
(he was wearing pants that day and it still got him...)

Keeps a Very Clean Car!

Nathan's dreams have come true as he now has a lifted truck with tires and black rims.
Just be careful driving up the driveway or hopping into it, gotta make sure your shoes are clean!

Paisley

June

Here she is at 2 months old, when we got her.
She quickly learned to tricks and was overall the quietest puppy ever!
In that month she chewed quite a few things so we learned to keep the floor clean and pile high on top of our dressers.
Kennedy got her to jump up on the couches so in the morning after I let her out and feed her at 6 o'clock on the dot every morning, we go back to sleep together on the couch :)

July...

She has learned to jump even further...like from the couch onto the countertop so if we're not careful and leave mail on the counter, it will be destroyed.

She also has found her bark and will bark at every bird and fly. Also when people drive around back behind the barn, she gets protective and sits at the door barking then looking back at me.

Instead of chewing everything, she mostly likes electrical cords, sticks, dirt, grass, and rocks. Of which I can find millions brought into the house and all over the floor and couch. I think she thinks she is bringing me presents....but maybe instead of rocks she could be digging for gold.

Nate had to dig up our septic tank to get pumped and it was probably Paisley's favorite day so far because there was a massive dirt pile for her to play in.

She weighs 23 pounds (at the beginning of July), a step up from 16.9 in June. She had a skin rash kinda thing so we have to spray stuff on her legs, which she absolutely loves and we have to wrangle her twice a day. That's pretty fun for us.
