School!

(don't mind my messy room! I don't have time to clean it anymore)!

Second week of school already!
I can already tell you more than you would even want to know about a TOOTH.
I am also really good at taking x-rays and making models,
even when my film drops in a puddle on the floor and everyone joins me in patting the ground to find it!

I have made some cool new friends.
Everyone in the program is either around my age or over 25.
There are also two guys! (albeit a little greasy and weird)
We are divided into three color groups to rotate in labs, so we don't get to see everyone all that much but the RED group is awesome.

I can't decide on how I feel about it yet.
I know I definitely HATE it.
But I also really LOVE it too.
This year will definitely be more stressful and overwhelming as the national exams start coming up in the Spring! YIKES!
.
.
.
Oh, it also doesn't help when you first open your textbook to check it out and you see this:
and many, many, MANY more pictures of people's awesomely looking mouths.

The Colors

I had two requirements to work with from Nathan;
No Yellow and No Purple.
awww man, but those are the BEST!
juuuuust kidding :)

I searched the world of colors and came up with this.
So they are, as announced,
Teal, (less green and not so blue), but mermaidy teal.
Orange, a hint of autumn brown but still creamy (though less than a creamsicle).

Then looking all over the internets, teal and orange is basically like the new black of weddings.
There isn't much, but people have come up with some really awesome things.
Here are some swatches:
that are really HUGE, oops.

P.S. You are not required to wear these colors.
In fact, it might be weird if you did show up in these colors.
So wear whatever you want!

If you would like, you can come in spandex that is pink, but that is my
only recommendation to you.

The Date

Probably would have been nice to post this one first...
but since I went and booked the place, it's actually official.

January 2nd, 2010
01/02/2010

Look for your invitations in the mail!
(hopefully by mid October)

We originally went for October.
Then November.
And settled with all parties on January.
Still not thrilled about it, I've been having 'nightmares' about it because it will be inside.
(not a fan of inside weddings)

Here's to the next four months of:
Full time students
Part time workers
Full time wedding planners
Part time house project-iers
and trying to get last minute health insurance appt's outta the way.
while trying to stay sane.

The Rings

Since we picked up Nathan's today I can actually post pics about these two little wonders.
haha
We bought mine in June, after searching high and low for affordable bling that I liked and would want to wear forever. Although I think it would have been smart to exchange it with a
smaller size since we had 30 days to do so, and we knew it didn't fit.... Oh well.

So when Nathan actually proposed, we were going to go in the next day to get resized.
Turns out they can't.
If they did, the heat from the process or something would reshape the way the diamonds fit so they would all be bejangled.

After asking 3 shops at the mall about it, the last one told us about a plastic thing you can put since they don't use metal fillers anymore.

We went in to Claires, I asked the girl, and she said, 'OH! Ring snuggies, Yeah!!'
Uh sure if thats what you wanna call it.
So I have this:

I can't really feel it so it's not funky at all and it actually keeps the ring even on both sides so it doesn't keep sliding around backwards.

Nathan's ring:
He wanted a black ring, and we looked at a couple places who had ceramic black, but that's just dumb because I'm pretty sure Nathan would break it with all the things he does everyday.
And since he's allergic to metals, it had to be ceramic, titanium, or tungsten.
Tungsten is really kinda heavy but supposedly indestructible.
It's just like his old ring, with slanted sides and flat black.
Pretty awesome and unique. I love it.

So here's to the old and the new :)
(which would be our old and new and improved rings) ha

The Proposal

I found a ring I liked online so Nathan bought it.
That was about 4 months ago, and I didn't think we would need it till about next summer/fall
Which was okay with me, but a very long time away.
Randomly Nathan said, 'Let's get married.'
Uh...Okay? Not that I haven't been waiting or anything.

So this went down on Sunday/Monday
He came into his room and he said, 'Heres my card, buy these tickets for the OSU game this weekend, I wanna go.'
WOOHOO. My hints for the last week paid off that I wanted to go!

Went down Friday night so we wouldn't have to leave at 6 am Saturday morning.
Stayed with Aaron and GAME TIME!
I knew he was going to that day and I told him I didn't know if I wanted there to be a lot of people around, he said okay and the next day, he got down and asked me before we entered the stadium.
He tried to be on the jumbo-tron, or get the beaver costume, and the cheerleaders.
But I'm glad he went for simple.

Here we are at Aaron's old house. After the rainy game :)

I know, I know...

Your all sitting there at your computers waiting to see pictures....

but when I got my new computer, they have the newest iPhoto on it, and I still don't quite have it figured out. It's not letting me upload pics onto here.

HELP ME!
I push the button to choose pictures, then click on the pictures on the far left. and the only thing that comes up is the iPhoto application, usually it has the folders with all the pictures.

Um, Help. Please. Thanks.
