Hawaii

I went to Maui the last week of Feb. with my parents and sister. They took my other sister and brother in June so now it was our turn!
Here we are at the airport when it was SNOWING.
(I don't think my dad had his morning coffee yet, hence the cheeseball smile)

And here we are waiting to board and buying scratch-its so I don't get too bored. HA it still happened and I thought it was never going to end.

The second night we went to the Old Lahaina Luau and watched the pretty sunset. It was a buffet of some yummy and some kinda nasty foods. The sweet potatoes were purple! and really thick but pretty good.

The first night we went to a random restaurant and I had to get something authentic, so I got the loco moco with a side of kim chi. YUM I could only eat about half but it was good! Egg, hamburger, rice, mac salad, and gravy...yummy yum yum.

I was a little dissapointed by the beaches, they weren't what I have seen from saved by the bell and full house when they all went to Hawaii :) We did find one beach with a bigger sand area and the waves breaking at the shore were crazy. Me and my dad had fun standing out there...

And then we decided that was enough fun and we swallowed enough salt for the day, but not before the ocean took away my sunglasses!!

We went whale watching and these are about the best pics I got. They're quick and a little unentertaining when you really want them to perform. They got close to our boat though, that was a little freaky.

Windy! and look my long lost sunglasses :(

Oh and OF COURSE I had to stop and get REAL shave ice. The best ever with guava flavor! We ate some pretty good meals here, they make good food over there :)
Ignore squinty eye... arrrrrr I look like a pirate

Here are more pictures... We made leis,

And laid by the pool...and maybe took a little dip or too but not for too long!!

 And then we napped.

The END! I missed my Paisley dog too much, and Nathan, so it was nice to be home and sleep in my own bed for a short while before going to work :)
