Yup, the one and only Britney Spears came to TOWN!
Not Portland, but close enough. (Tacoma, WA)
I really wanted to go to the concert when she first announced she was coming and Nichole, Colby's gf, also wanted to go! We were gonna make a mini-vaca out of it and the boys will drive us there, hang out while were at the concert, stay the night, and go to Seattle and have lots of fun.
This whole planning went on in December....
A week before the concert, Colby and Nichole got in a little situation and so I didn't think that we were gonna be able to go anymore.
Pretty much it became a really stressful situation and we had no idea how we were gonna get there like an hour before we had to leave. Nichole goes to Paul Mitchell Beauty School and they have connections with Z100 (radio station), so about an hour before Nichole got us on the bus that took the Z100 contest winners up, her friend from school, the owner, J.P., and his kids.
It was probably the longest and uncomfortable ride ever!
But we go there and the Pussy Cat Dolls opened, me and Nichole were NOT impressed.
Britney's theme was Circus, so before she came out she had clowns, acrobats, dancers, circus-y things going on and then she popped up and it was the beginning of a very fabulous time.
Sure, she doesn't actually sing live, but you try singing and doing choregraphed dances at the same time and let me know how it works out :)
There also was no encore, which was weird. I think I've only been to one other concert that didn't have an encore and that's because they weren't really big.
It was absolutely amazing, well worth it, and basically just a production, like all of her other shows were.
You still have a chance to go for the next week or so, she'll be in California.
I'd go again with you :)
